UTTAM TYAG DHARMA: Supreme Self Restraint: Those who have abstained from pursuit of wealth, power and prosperity as sources of pride, desire and violence etc. as cause of evil are blessed as the virtuous. Charity is an important aspect of religious doctrine. Just as the ocean is not filled by all the rivers of the world and fire is never satisfied by all the fuel, our desire is never satiated. The more we have the more we want and we dig a deeper hole for ourselves. But as we sacrifice desire we regain our self restraint. Therefore understand that only the doctrine of sacrifice can lead you to infinite bliss. Thus embrace Supreme Self Restraint virtue.
उत्तम त्याग धर्म: जिन्होंने धन, सम्पदा आदि परिग्रह को कर्म के उदय जनित पराधीन, विनाशीक, अभिमान को उत्पन्न करनेवाला, तृष्णा को बढ़ानेवाला, रागद्वेष की तीव्रता करनेवाला, आरम्भ की तीव्रता करनेवाला, हिंसादि पाँचों पापो का मूल जानकर इसे अंगीकार ही नहीं किया वे उत्तम पुरुष धन्य हैं। दान है वह धर्म का अंग है। जैसे नदियों से समुद्र तृप्त नहीं होता है, ईंधन से अग्नि तृप्त नहीं होती है उसी तरह परिग्रह से आशा की प्यास नहीं बुझती है। आशारूपी गड्ढा अगाध गहरा है, जिसका तल स्पर्श नहीं है। ज्यों - ज्यों इसमें धन भरो, त्यों -त्यों गड्ढा बढ़ता जाता है। किंतु ज्यो – ज्यों परिग्रह की आशा त्याग करो, त्यों – त्यों वह भरता चला जाता है अतः समस्त दुःख दूर करने में एक त्यागधर्म ही समर्थ है। त्याग ही से अंतरंग-बहिरंग बन्धन रहित अनन्त सुख के धारक बनोगे। अतः त्यागधर्म धारण करना ही श्रेष्ठ है।
