UTTAM SHAUCH DHARMA: Supreme Contentment: Contentment is akin to purity and piousness. Those who experience their spiritual essence as distinct from their bodily existence, absolute, indestructible and eternal, knower of all three realms for all time, attain Supreme Contentment. Purifying consciousness of deceit and greed etc leads to Supreme Contentment. Contentment means purity-piousness. Holders of pious conduct are necessarily non-violent in their food and walking habits, scared of unethical conduct, have no desire, lust or envy for the material property. The whole world considers such a person as sacred. The greedy destroy good deeds, wealth and intent and suffer misery. Greedy have no place for virtue at their hearts. They perpetually face distress and grief. So follow the doctrine of contentment as a virtue.
उत्तम शौच धर्म : शौच का अर्थ पवित्रता उज्ज्वलता है। जो अपने आत्मा को देह से भिन्न ज्ञानोपयोग- दर्शनोपयोगमय, अखण्ड,अविनाशी,जन्म-जरा-मरण रहित, तीन लोकवर्ती समस्त पदार्थों का प्रकाशक सदाकाल अनुभव करता है, ध्याता है उसे शौच धर्म होता है। मन को मायाचार, लोभादि से रहित उज्ज्वल करने से शौचधर्म होता है। शुचि का अर्थ पवित्रता- उज्ज्वलता है। जिसका आहार-विहार आदि समस्त प्रवृत्ति हिंसा रहित हो, हिंसा के भय से यत्नाचार सहित हो, अन्य के धन में इक्षा रहित हो, अन्य की स्त्री में वाञ्छा कभी स्वप्न में भी नहीं हो, वहीं उज्ज्वल आचरण का धारक है, उसको ही जगत पूज्य माना जाता है। लोभी धर्म, अर्थ, काम को नष्ट करके ,कुमरण करके दुर्गति में चला जाता है।लोभी धर्म, अर्थ, काम को नष्ट करके, कुमरण करके दुर्गति में चला जाता है।लोभी के हृदय में सदगुणों को कोई स्थान नहीं रहता है।लोभी को इस लोक में तथा परलोक में अचिन्त्य क्लेश व दुःख प्राप्त होता है, अतः शौचधर्म का धारण करना ही श्रेष्ठ है।
